eBooks at ESRM : A pleasure for all ages
Meanwhile, the word has spread that European School RheinMain also offers eBooks. More and more students discover the beauty of borrowing eBooks anytime and anywhere. In addition to circulating information on the eBook portal the school library offers a brief live introduction and a group of teachers is promoting using eBooks in similar ways. The other day it was time for our youngest students to enjoy a read along story matching their current topic “Time and Space”.
In case you do not know your login information, please check your e-mail account, have a look at your IDesk (after log in) on IServ or contact your school library.

Mittlerweile hat es sich herum gesprochen, dass die Europäische Schule RheinMain auch E-Books anbietet. Immer mehr Schüler entdecken die wunderbare Chance immer und überall ein E-Book ausleihen zu können. Neben den vielfältig verbreiteten Informationen zum E-Book Portal bietet die Schulbibliothek eine kurze Live-Einführung an und eine Gruppe Lehrer fördert die Nutzung von eBooks auf ähnliche Weise. Kürzlich kamen unsere jüngsten Schüler in den Genuss einer Geschichte zum Mitlesen, die gut zum aktuellen Thema “Raum und Zeit” passte.
Die Anmelde-Informationen wurden per E-Mail verschickt, sind auf dem IDesk der Schüler auf IServ zu finden oder können bei der Schulbibliothek erfragt werden.

Did you know that your ESRM School Library offers free eBooks to students, faculty and staff? Our digital collection is available 24/7 and all you need to get started is an internet connection and your login details from the library.

We’ve started building up our digital library that will connect students with a collection of reading materials to supplement their studies, as well as offering the kind of titles they would find in a public library for pleasure reading. There is a great opportunity to expand our collection with required reading and recommended titles that are used in class. From classic literature to modern non-fiction, there is already a wide variety of books available and we need your help and guidance to add new content to the site and build the best digital library resource for our School Library.
Digital books are compatible with smart phones, tablets, eReaders and computers. Titles can be read right in the internet browser or downloaded using the free OverDrive app. At the end of the lending period, titles automatically expire so there are never any late fees.
