SYNC is an annual program that gives individuals 13+ who register two complete audiobook downloads per week–including new and favorite listens–each week for 14 weeks during the summer. It’s free and available worldwide.
Using Sora to access SYNC
Here are a few tips for using Sora to access SYNC, whether you’re new to the app or an expert user.
I already use Sora for school. How do I add SYNC titles?
If you already use Sora, you’ll need to add the SYNC program’s library. Here are the steps:
- In Sora, open the menu (in the top-right corner).
- Select Add a library.
- Search for audiobooksync and select the library from the results.
- Enter the email address you used to sign up for SYNC.

Great Audio Books – Free Download!
Step 1: REGISTER for SYNC and follow the instructions.

Free Audiobooks
SYNC’s eleventh season opens with a pair of free downloads in just a couple of days!
To make sure you and everyone you know who wants to collect personal copies of any or all of the 26 featured audiobooks this year, it’s now time to register.
First register for SYNC 2020 on the Audio Sync homepage.
Then open Sora. You’ll need to add the SYNC program’s library. Here are the steps:
- In Sora, open the menu (in the top-right corner).
- Select Add a public library.
- Search for audiobooksync and select the library from the results.
Q: When does each SYNC week start?
A: The SYNC week starts Thursday, April 30. at midnight (ET) and lasts until the following Wednesday at 11:59:59 pm (ET). Most of Europe will see the SYNC week start at 6 am on Thursday and then end at 5:59 am the following Thursday
Q: How long is each audiobook available in Sora?
A: Each audiobook is only available to borrow during the one featured week.
Once you’ve borrowed an audiobook, it stays on your Shelf in Sora.
Summer read
Our students are allowed to check out ten books for the holidays. Could be, that some of you will need more, and/ or travel around by car or airplaine or train and need to reduce weight of their luggage.
Downloading eBooks and audiobooks for free from your library, using the Sora-App could make life easier! We offer about 3000 titles for free download, in English and German language – and some in French, Spanish, Italian …. as well! Until 15th of August our students have also free simultaneous access to 26 juvenile and young adult ebooks and audiobooks.
Just login to the Sora App, select European Schools –> European School RheinMain (details to be found on iServ/News) and enjoy reading or listening wherever you are!
